Crude Awakening's Blues Festival performance also featured special guest appearances by vocal artist
Kirstin Corbett
(aka PurseCandy)
as well as
local keyboard maestro
Kevin Coates

At high noon on Sunday, August 9, 2026, as some festival fans were desperately warding off hangovers from a weekend of witnessing great bands such as Honeybear, Nick Gilder & Sweeney, Todd and Goddo...
Crude Awakening
took over the Main YNC Stage at Kitchener City Hall.
A Sunday? Hell Yes!
Crude Awakening opened the stage in massive Rock and Roll form, for the local WRHN (Waterloo Region Health Network) Downtown Kitchener echoed with original, live and loud, uncompromising 80s-inspired rock 'n' roll, through the incredible, monstrous main-stage sound courtesy of Kitchener Blues Festival Organizers, The WRHN, Sherwood Audio, and countless BluesFest volunteers!
Blues and Rock festival-goers experienced a show packed with Crude Fan favourites from Crude Awakening's debut record 04-20, anthems from Seems Like Yesterday, and exclusive hard rock teasers from our upcoming 2027 record Ready, Fire, Aim!
